The bridgewire detonator (EBW, also known as exploding wire detonator) was invented by Luis Alvarez and Lawrence Johnson for the Fat Man-type bombs of the Manhattan Project. "Fat-Man" was of course the code name for the first Atomic Bomb. Due to the atomic bombs, the war in the pacific came to a sudden end. The name Bridgewire doesn't represent destruction, but a simple means to an end, and a new beginning. In WWII, the end of tyranny and evil, and the beginning of understanding. In our band, Bridgewire represents the end of a stage in our lives, and the coming to pass of a new sound, a new passion, and the beginning of something that will literally rip your ears off.
